When I first saw Konstantin’s Kofta artwork I was amazed! Of course I still am. Every season I am wondering how is he going to overcome himself, I find it impossible… but his new collections are always more and more thrilling. It is extraordinary the fact that he has made art something that every person can carry around with him in the form of a bag! Our magazine had the honor of interviewing Mr Kofta and find out more about the man behind this fine art!

When did you realize for the first time that you want to be a fashion designer?

I wouldn’t name myself fashion designer. As for me, I am an artist who seeks self-expression. Relatively, I didn’t choose static art as I wanted to see my creations in motion of a daily life and to encourage art lifestyle in general.

As a result, continuous aesthetic self-improvement and transfiguration of surrounding spaces fulfill my nature and meaning of life.

What are the sources of your inspiration?

Everything that surrounds us: visible or intangible. Our world is full of enigmas, provoking facts and progresses which are worthy of our attention.

Why do you specialized at bags?

For me, the bag is not just an accessory, but an expression of art. I chose this direction, since it is the least limited by the proportions of the human body.

Is there a piece that you are more fond of and why?

No. I try not to get attached to what I do. Otherwise I won’t have inspiration to create something new. Whenever you let go the old, the space for the new will be created.

To what do you owe your success?

I owe it to the nature, to the light and to my inner powers which creates incredible urge for asking the right questions and finding answers for them. I owe it to my intention which does not fade and nourish the desire.

What are your dreams for the future?

That people will stop lying, messing up and destroying the world.

Raccoon. Because for me cleanness and purity are the key elements for creative atmosphere, only this way I am able to transfer to higher state of brain activity. Clarity of mind and ambience. Immaculacy.
