Hainan Airlines, one of the best Chinese airlines wanting to show how a fashion designer can create garments not just for a fashion week show but also for an aerial airplane runway , created the most impressive flight attendant uniforms of this season. Worthy to compete with the most beautiful uniform of Olympic Airways designed by Pierre Cardin, the uniform of Etihad Airways by Ettora Bilotta and the uniform of Emirates Airlines designed by the Simon Jersey team, the Hainan uniform literally stole my heart.
The famous designer Laurence Xu has decided to take off the airline’s uniforms once again, because he has perfectly combined his influence from the East and in particular from China, with the modern and haute couture style of the West. The collection was presented in Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris.
The women’s dress was certainly a showstopper as it was inspired by the cheongsam, a Chinese traditional formal dress for women. Decorated with various motifs, clouds and the Roc, a well-known bird of China, in gray color embraces the female body, giving to it an oriental finesse. On the other hand, the figure flattering and tight jackets, as well as the beautiful women’s coat inspire a Parisian scent that takes off the uniform, offering a “first class seat” to it.
