Karl Lagerfeld may have reached his eighth decade, but his creations always managed to be up to date. Hence the term “eternal teenager”, since his imagination and creativity never aged.
He managed not just to be a worthy successor of one of the most important fashion houses, of course I refer to Chanel House, but to establish even his own figure, remaining faithful to the long white ponytail and the black-and-white suit he always wore, as well as his beloved cat. His death is really a great loss for the fashion world.
Karl Lagerfeld was working until the last few days of his life, and that’s why the fact he did not attend the last fashion show of the house was certainly worrying. The designer was sick lately until he was taken to hospital on Tuesday night and passed away on Wednesday 19th February ’19.
