The “Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams” exhibition, which ended September 1st, attracted half a million visitors, making it the most successful exhibition in the history of London’s Victoria & Albert Museum, the world’s largest art and design museum. .
This exhibition was also the most comprehensive exhibition dedicated to Christian Dior that has ever been presented in England, something that obviously played an important role in its success. The exhibition presented the history and impact of the fashion house from 1947 till present, and found its “DNA” through archives, collections and also the different approach of its 6 artistic directors.
The first tickets for the exhibition have been sold within the first three weeks, so its duration was extended to another 7 weeks while V&A Director Tristram Hunt thanked all its guests in an official statement.
