Mother’s Day is just a few days away and we know how much you want to make her smile. You don’t have to spend a lot of money, especially if you are a bit tide up these days. However, you can create on your own the perfect gift. All you need is a good mood, a little bit of time and a few materials. Find bellow some wonderful diy ideas.
Candles in tea cups
Do you remember these old tea cups that you no longer use but you don’t want to throw them away either? Well, they would make excellent candles that your mom could decorate in her living room. You will need microwave wax, color paint and wick (you can find all of these in www.candle.gr). First you glue the cup to the saucer, then you warm the wax in the microwave until it becomes liquid. You mix it with colors or aromatic oils and you fill the cup 3/4. You place the wick in the middle and leave it until the wax gets cold and solid. That’s all!

A ted vase and roses!? He’s a keeper ❤️ #miamor #orlandochristmas #photovase #christmascats
Maybe the sweetest and most practical gift for moms. A few plastic pvc pipes and a few family photos printed on sticky paper can create the perfect vase. You will need plastic pvc pipes cut in different sizes, plastic pvc caps, silicone (you can find all of these in a hardware store), printed photos and a wooden base. First you glue the caps to the pipes and seal them with silicone. Then you stick the photos around and glue the pipes to the base. You fill them with water and flowers and it’s ready.
Sewing kit vase
Whether she remakes clothes regularly or not, this sewing kit vase is so cute that she will have it decorated all year long. You will need small glass vases with cap, fabric of your choice, glue, cotton for the filling and sewing stuff. Remove the cap from the base and glue at its center a piece of fabric, half an inch smaller leaving one side open. Once it dries, fill it with cotton using the spot you left open and then glue that also. Let it dry and then put a ribbon around the cap and steady it with glue. Fill the vase with buttons, zippers, pins or anything else.
Wooden sous-verres
It doesn’t get any easier than this. Nor cuter either. Mini palettes-wooden sous-verres for the glasses and mugs. You will need ice cream popsicle sticks, glue and colorful sticky tapes. Decorate the sticks, glue 3-4 sticks together to create the base of the palette and then glue vertically the decorated sticks. Voila!
Impressive gift box
A simple plastic, wooden or fabric box can be transformed into something extraordinary, with a very easy trick. You will need a few old cds (if you still have any of those), a pair of scissors and glue. You cut the cds into pieces and then glue them on the box. You let it dry and if you like you polish it a little. You’ve just created the most awesome box for your mother to keep her jewelry or personal stuff.
