According to a recent research by Cosmetics Design- Europe, the three main beauty topics that concern us nowadays are : moisturizing, vitamins and skin care, DIY beauty (mainly hair dye, nail care and hair removal). The trending beauty products are those that include vitamins C, B3 and D as their main ingredients.
If you don’t want to spend much on different beauty creams to cover your different needs, we have the perfect solution! Three DIY face masks, with ingredients that you already have in your kitchen! Make a warm cup of your favorite herbal tea and devote some time to yourself.
Vitamin C Mask: for glowing skin
Vitamin C, can improve the overall look of your skin, thanks to its antioxidant properties-vital for the prevention of free roots.
Ingredients
- 1 tea spoon (organic) honey
- ½ tea spoon brown sugar (if you wish to exfoliate)
- ½ tea spoon vitamin C powder or fresh lemon juice (if you have sensitive skin, it is better to use vitamin C powder)
- 1-2 drops of lavender essential oil
Application
- Mix all the ingredients in a bowl
- Apply to your face and neck and massage in circular moves for 1-2’
- Leave the mask for 5’ to 45’, depending on your personal needs
- Rinse with warm water
- Finish with a toner of your own choice
Vitamin D Mask: for youthful skin
According to scientific researches, Vitamin D, is actually the key vitamin for skin health, since it reduces inflammation and breakouts and makes our skin look youthful.
Ingredients
- 1 egg yolk
- ½ tablespoon yogurt
- 1 tablespoon oats
- ½ tablespoon fresh orange juice
Application
- Mix all the ingredients in a bowl until you have a firm paste
- Apply a thin layer to your face and neck
- Leave it for 15’
- Rinse with warm water
- Finish with a moisturizing cream suitable to your skin type
Vitamin Β3 Mask: for clean skin
Applying niasinamid (B3) on your skin, helps in the reduction of acne, discoloration, as well as the healing of wounds and the delay of wrinkles and lines.
Ingredients
- 1 egg white
- 2 tablespoons rice powder
Application
- Mix the ingredients in a bowl
- Apply on clear skin
- Leave for 20’
- Rinse with warm water
- Finish with an oil free moisturizing cream of your choice
Last but certainly not least, never forget that beauty comes from within. Apart from your daily skincare routine, you need to drink plenty of water (1,5-2 lt/day) and follow a balanced diet, full in vitamins and nutrients.
