On the occasion of the celebrations for the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution, many Greek artists and designers were inspired by relevant themes and created limited edition objects.
Hermes has created an impressive, limited edition silk scarf. With this move, the famous French house pays tribute to the Greek Independence in collaboration with the Greek artist Elias Kafouros, who created it.

Elias Kafouros was born in 1978 in Athens and his representative art has an enigmatic context while the emphasis is given to the details and the impressive colours.
Politics, religion, literature and history are often the subjects from which he is getting inspired and that is why the design of this Hermes scarf is based on the word “Ελευθερία” (eleftheria), which means “freedom” in Greek.

The scarf consists of sections that are divided into the letters of the word “Eleftheria” and more specifically from landscapes inspired by the Peloponnese and the Aegean islands.
Part of the profit from the sales will be donated at the General Hospital “Sotiria” in Athens.
